Specifics for eligibility:

All students in grades 7-12 who meet the requirements below are eligible for Adapted Athletics.

CI Bowling: Students with cognitive impairments, including full-scale IQ of 70 or less on the most recent evaluation. Students receiving DCD services are also eligible to participate.

PI Bowling: Students with a physical impairment (physical impairment that affects motor or gait patterns, neuromuscular, postural/skeletal, traumatic brain injury, growth, or requires the use of prosthesis or wheelchair) are eligible to play. Cardio/respiratory impairments that limit the intensity and duration of physical activity. A doctor’s signature is required on page four of the MSHSL physical exam form addendum.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Bowling:  Bowlers must have documented evidence of ASD and receive service from the school district. Students must be able to participate in the activity without receiving physical prompts from an adult, coach or another athlete.
