Blaine testing info

Below is Blaine High School's tentative testing schedule for the 2024-2025 school year: 

  • PSAT will be on Wednesday, October 9th for select juniors 

    • Regular Day - students testing are excused from class

    • Window is 10/2 - 10/31

  • ACT with writing (paper version) on Tuesday, April 22nd (Ramadan approx dates 2/28-3/30)

    • Advisory scheduled on April 14th for ACT registration

  • MCA Reading - 10th graders

    • Trimester Two: TBD

    • Trimester Three: TBD

    • (window: March 3 - May 2)

  • MCA Math - 11th graders

    • Trimester Two: TBD 

    • Trimester Three: TBD

    • (window: March 3 - May 2)

  • MCA Science - Biology classes 

    • Trimester Two: TBD

    • Trimester Three: TBD

    • (window: March 3 - May 9)

  • AP Testing - May 5th - May 9th and  May 12th - May 16th

  • ACCESS Testing - January 27th - March 21st

  • MAP Testing Windows-

    • Fall: 8/15 through 11/30

    • Winter: 12/01 through 2/28 (2/29 on leap years)

    • Spring: 3/1 through 6/15


 

2025-2026 ACT Information

 

On Tuesday, April 21st, Juniors will have the opportunity to take the ACT Exam at Blaine High School. 

 

Tuesday, April 21st will be a blended learning day for 9th, 10th, and 12th grade students.

 

During Advisory on Monday, April 13th, Juniors will register for their ACT account and complete their non-test items. During that time students can choose to send their ACT Scores for free to four colleges. 

 

 *PSEO and Online students that do not have an advisory class may come to the main office anytime beginning Monday, April 13th, to pick up their ACT account registration paperwork, or the student can follow this link to create their account.

 

ACT account registration and any changes to College score report requests cannot be made after April 23rd. After April 23rd there will be a fee to send your scores to Colleges.




Juniors: ACT Test Day Information

 

What to bring: 

 

  • A current original Photo I.D. (Student ID, Driver’s License, or Passport)

 

  • Multiple #2 pencils (not mechanical)

 

  • Charged calculator (if you choose to use one)

 

  • Water and snacks. 

 

  • Your best effort to do well on the test.

 

What NOT to bring

 

  • All electronic devices including cell phones, air pods/earbuds, smart watches, and fitness trackers.

 

Room assignments will be posted in the Social Studies Hallway on the Test Day.

Preparing for the ACT

Below you will find links that will be helpful for students taking the ACT.  The Free Preparing for the ACT Booklet will provide students with full-length practice tests, strategies, and what to expect on Test Day.  The ACT calculator policy is also included below.  Only permitted calculators may be used on the ACT mathematics test, if you do not have a Calculator, one will be available within the online testing platform.
