Attend the Anoka-Hennepin College Fair Tuesday, Feb. 24

Here’s an event aimed to aid high school students and families to explore college options in person together in one-place and time – close to home.   

The basics: Anoka-Hennepin career and college specialists from the district’s high schools have collaborated to host a districtwide College Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Anoka High School (3939 N. 7th Ave., Anoka, MN 55303).

What to expect: Representatives from 108 schools  - from nearby Anoka Technical College to Xavier University - will be in attendance for families to ask questions and consider planning for each student’s post-secondary plans. Look for the complete list of participating institutions below 

How to attend, organizing resources: The event is free to attend, although those who register in advance at www.StriveFair.com will gain an advantage for navigating their way through the event. 
 

• Each registered student will receive a barcode to help keep resources organized. 
• As families visit with college representatives, scan the barcode.
• The day after the fair, each student will receive a report with information from the colleges you visited with.

Consider researching and questions to support your family: The Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling has prepared a list of questions families may consider reviewing or bringing along to help facilitate useful conversations at the College Fair event.
